Moss in the lawn is a constant problem in Southeast Alaska. The only way we know to prevent moss is to grow your lawn on pure sand. Most of us have lawns already established and we have to deal with it.
This liquid form of iron sulfate kills the lawn moss overnight, turning it black and ready to be thatched out. A gallon covers 2000 square feet, and can be applied with a hose end sprayer, a pump sprayer, or a watering can. Avoid getting it on your cement.
Remember, iron is a necessary element for plant growth, so put a little around your rhododendrons and watch them green up.
